j4buti: Hi Halia. How did quitting smoking go?? Your comment about hating 95% of present day music made me a little sad. I think we get the impression that modern music is a lost cause because of how prominent the mainstream channels are. It's like the mass-produced, formulaic crap is all that exists when it's the only thing playing in clubs, TV and radio. It's a pity that most people don't really explore all the different kinds of music available and expand their taste. I love the internet for this.
Haha I failed at quitting smoking. I don’t think I want to quit badly enough yet. Hopefully I’ll get sick of it soon. And I agree, I suppose I get irritated at 95% of POPULAR music. There are dozens upon dozens of artists making music today that I really cherish and treasure and have influenced me hugely, so I suppose I ought to have clarified that and it was unfair to make such a blanket statement at first. x
